Arto Kapanen

Arto Kapanen is a Finnish rally co-driver with a long career in national and international competition. During the 1990s he partnered Jarmo Kytölehto and together they finished second on the Arctic Lapland Rally in 1993, 1994 and 1997. He also competed with him on international events such as the RAC Rally.

He later worked alongside Jani Paasonen. In 2003 he was chosen as Mika Häkkinen's co-driver for the Formula One champion's rally debut, contesting the Arctic Lapland Rally in a Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution WRC2. In 2022 he reached his 25th participation in the Arctic event. In later years he continued competing alongside Mikko Eskelinen in cars including the Ford Fiesta RS WRC and Škoda Fabia Rally2.
