Stig Blomqvist

Stig Blomqvist (Örebro, Sweden, 29 July 1946) is a former Swedish rally driver. He began his career in the late 1960s and was particularly associated with Saab during his early years, achieving numerous victories in international events with the manufacturer. Throughout his career, he competed for manufacturers including Saab, Talbot, Audi, Ford, Peugeot, Nissan and Škoda. In 1984, he won the World Rally Championship alongside co-driver Björn Cederberg and finished runner-up the following year.

Blomqvist achieved 11 victories and 33 podium finishes in the World Rally Championship. After leaving the works programmes, he continued competing for many years in international, national and historic rallies.
