Giovanni Bernacchini

Giovanni Bernacchini (born 3 June 1973, Italy) is an Italian rally co-driver. He is the son of fellow co-driver Arnaldo Bernacchini, who was active in the World Rally Championship during the 1970s and 1980s. He made his competitive debut in 1995 and in 2003 became the regular co-driver of Mirco Baldacci, competing in the Junior WRC and the PWRC. He subsequently competed in the World Rally Championship alongside Gigi Galli. His time with Galli came to an end following an accident at the 2008 Rally Germany in which the driver was injured. From 2009 he served as co-driver to Nasser Al-Attiyah, competing in the PWRC and later in the SWRC in cars such as the Škoda Fabia S2000 and the Ford Fiesta S2000. In 2012 they contested a near-full WRC programme in a Citroën DS3 WRC with the Qatar World Rally Team, and in 2013 they took part in selected rounds with M-Sport in a Ford Fiesta RS WRC. He subsequently redirected his career towards rally raid.
