Pierre Pierre

Pierre Alexandre was a French rally co-driver active mainly during the 1950s. He is remembered above all for his role in one of Citroën's most important victories in the early days of modern motorsport. His greatest sporting achievement came in 1959, when, alongside driver Paul Coltelloni and other copilot Claude Desrosiers , he won the Rallye Automobile de Monte-Carlo aboard a Citroën ID 19. The victory had a significant technical and sporting impact, as the Citroën model stood out for its innovative hydropneumatic suspension, which provided a notable advantage on snow and ice on the Alpine roads of the rally. Although Alexandre did not enjoy a particularly long career or a large number of notable results on the international stage, his participation in the 1959 Monte Carlo triumph places him as part of one of the most memorable crews in the early history of rallying.
